Rapterians
Rapterian's are the main species in sakura. They usually look like a feline, But can take the form of any feline and canine. They are high intelligent species with strong genetics to help them survive! Despite these similarities, Each rapterian is unique from their patterns, Personality and abilities. Most rapterians have some sort of ability or magic. It can come from their family bloodline, Genetics or even depending where or how they are born. It's rare for a rapterian to be born with no abilities, But even with no abilities, They are far from useless. Dark spirit-Aurora
When a rapterian dies, Their fur becomes transparent. Some spirits earn angel wings and some don't. When a rapterian dies and they deserve punishment for their action. They appear in the forest of corruption, A forest full of mud or dead grass or red oak trees. The forest is run by the evil corrupted spirit, Aurora. The spirit's transparent fur turns to black or red instead of white or a bright color. Some spirit's search for revenge by haunting others that are still alive. Others are more mischievous and play tricks on other rapterians, They can cause things like hallucination and nightmares. Yes that is the punishment for the evil, But what about the innocent and generous souls that have died? They appear in the forest of light. A beautiful forest full of animals, Long oak trees and galactic stars everywhere. The forest's appearance is space like, There's stars and two moons hovering over the forest. Despite it being a perfect resting place for the dead, Other spirits decide to not go there. Instead they can turn into guardian angels and watch over their loves ones. It's over the price that they might not see the light forest for a very long time. But some take the chance to see their loved ones again. But there is middle between these two forests. When a rapterian doesn't believe in either, They appear as nothing but a ghostly spirit that roams around sakura. The reason for this is unknown, Maybe its because of the lack of believe in the rapterian after life? no one knows.

Rapterians have incredible sight and hearing. Rapterians can hear something at least 50 miles away. But this comes at a price that their ears are extremely sensitive. Sounds like a loud siren or a loud metal screech or even a dog whistle can injure rapterians. Causing ear bleeding, Ringing and can even be at the risk of turning deaf. Just like eagles, The reason most rapterians have slit pupil eyes is because they can see just like a eagle. Spotting a mouse inside a tree from miles away. This is the reason most rapterians are skilled hunters. Unlike their ears, Rapterians eyes aren't sensitive and can actually deal a lot of damage. They can stand sand in their eyes, Salt water and Snow. They can look straight directly in the sunlight without taking any damage. This can help them with their sight in the night time. They can tell when it's night, But thanks to their eyes the night and darkness never seems that dark to them. Rapterians with straight slit pupil eyes have better eye sight then normal. They are usually the better hunters and fighters.
Height
The usual height for a rapterian is 4.0. But some rare ones are as tall as a human, They usually aren't seen anymore. Rapterians are usually mistaken for cats, But they aren't cats at all. They can take a canine and feline form, yes. But they are their unique original species. Smaller rapterians are usually looked down upon and treated not so well. Since being smaller as a cat or smaller than a cat is not normal to them.
Eyes
Eye shapes and colors are unique and important to rapterians. This tells a lot of their personality and who they are. Some eyes. Some seen as curses, Gentle, Fearsome and more.
Blue eyes represent space, freedom, Inspiration, and sensitivity. But sadly it can mean depression, Conservative, And bottled up feelings.
This eye color isn't that common but not that rare either.
Orange eyes represent Fear, Danger, Stubbornness and determination. But it can also mean optimism, Happiness and compassion. This eye color is very common but others still are wary with this color.
Yellow eyes can represent Hope, Positivity, Cheerful or energetic. It can also represent curiosity and youth. But it can also represent egotism, Deception, Cowardice and caution. This eye color isn't that common, but it's not very rare either.
Pink eyes can represent good health, shyness and gentleness. Warmth and even romance. But it can also mean unconfident, Timid or immature. This eye color is very rare and only a few are seen with this eye color.
Green eyes can represent luck, Generosity, Prosperity and hope. But it can also mean Envy, Inexperience, perfectionist and addiction. This eye color isn't common and actually rare, But not as rare as pink, purple, and red.
Purple eyes can represent magic, Fantasy and wisdom. The color purple Is said to inspire and enlighten people. But it can also mean immaturity, Darkness and vigilant. This eye color is very rare and is almost never seen.
Red eyes are the most feared and looked down upon. usually, Anyone born with these eyes are treated bad, Had a terrible life and turn to villains when they grow up. Everyone judges and thinks they represent, Death, Bad omens, curses and evil. It can represent revenge and rage. But that's just what people think. It can mean confidence, Bravery, Love, Passion, and heart. Don't judge a book by it's cover. This eye color is very rare and is almost never seen.
Brown eyes represent warmth, security, protection and the feeling of being safe and sound. it can mean being supportive and having a lot of wisdom. But it can also mean dullness, emptiness and being timid. This eye color is odd, It's rare because no one has been seen with it. But a lot of rapterians have been seen with it. It's just odd and unnatural for a rapterian with brown eyes.
Claws
One of the most dangerous parts about a rapterian is their claws. Their claws are as sharp as a knife. Touching them can cause fatal and even permanent injuries. Besides they're tails, claws are used a lot for battle. Rapterians need to pay attention and be careful about their claws being unsheathed, Or else they could hurt or even kill someone. Thats how sharp they are.
Mouth
Rapterians have sharp wolf teeth, The muzzles look small but when they open they are large and can fit a whole big rodent inside with one bite. Like claws, Rapterians have sharp knife teeth and have to be careful as they are at a high risk of injuring others. Such as carrying injured ones, Wrestling, Training or playfully biting are at a high risk to painful damage. Inside each mouth has a different color depending on the rapterians eyes, personality or fur. Example, This rapterian is most likely to have pink eyes because of it's tongue and mouth.
Patterns and fur
Each rapterian has their own unique fur pattern. Different fur patterns can com from family bloodline, species, habitat, Or your ability. Some have spots, some have stripes, Some have no patterns but a odd set of fur. All patterns fur color are almost limitless. Their fur is one thing that makes them different from one another.
Protest and habitat
Because of the war of humans and rapterians long ago, Rapterians are hated by society. Rapterians that live outside of sakura are treated terrible or are hunted down. This is why sakura has a border around it and is hidden. So no human can hurt them again and rapterians can live a better life. Sakura is almost home to every rapterian and they will do anything to protect it. Villain or not, No rapterian will disrespect the blossom tree and will defend another when it comes to hateful slurs or rapterian disrespect. Rapterians usually get hateful slurs such as savages, monsters, Tall cats and others.
Diet
Rapterians are omnivores, They can eat meat and plants and earth food. Rapterians can survive off of plants and farming plants which is why there are farmers in sakura. When a rapterian is starving. They can go a month without food and water. Rapterians can eat any type of meat, But they're favorite food out of everything is buffalo. Rapterians love bison more then any type of food so much that it has become a hunting culture.
Different species
They are other kinds of species of rapterians. Winged feathered rapterians are rare and barely ever seen. Aquatic rapterians used to roam the oceans but mysteriously disappeared. The same happened with dragon rapterians. After a terrible incident with the humans, Deer and fawn rapterian all died out. Only a few are left.
